We used this on two 4 hour trips. We even were hit with rain and wind and this carrier was fantastic. I will say the tighter you can get it down the better! It took us a little bit to figure out how to get it hooked up, but once we did it was easy to get set up. We also were able to fit a ton of stuff in there. We had a large tent, a beach wagon, a standard hard-shell suitcase and a pack and play as well as some other miscellaneous stuff.

Very pleasantly surprised by how well this worked. Used it on my Mazda CX-3 for a beach trip and loaded it full of stuff. Drove more than 20 hours round trip and it held up great and kept everything dry despite heavy rain at times. Not too loud on the road either. It did interfere with my car¡¯s satellite radio but that¡¯s to be expected.
